    Hugh Gilchrist

Hugh is a Remedial Therapist and training to become a Craniosacral and Biodynamic Stillness Practitioner. Hugh's interest in this area developed from his previous experience in as a case manager working with long term injured clients in the Workers Compensation Scheme. Often unfortunately their injuries did not respond to orthodox treatment which was often too narrow and sometimes incorrectly treated the complaints as psychologically based “pain behaviour”.

Against this background Hugh decided to pursue a career as a Remedial Therapist specialising in various modality treatments such as:

    • Myofascial Release
    • Deep Tissue
    • Craniosacral Therapy
    • Sports Massage
    • Manual Lymphatic Drainage
    • Relaxation
    • Biodynamic Cranial Stillness

In addition to his “hands on” role Hugh seeks to educate clients to promote their independence and self-management in proper body mechanics and movement, strength, flexibility and postural and movement awareness.

Hugh volunteers his time to support children suffering from cerebral palsy who have particular chronic needs in soft tissue release and range of motion.

Hugh's treatment model is to listen carefully to the patient and tailor treatment to their needs to achieve sustained wellness.
